About Us

If you want to learn more about us, you’re in the right place. Read to learn how we came into being, and what our aims are.

Our Story

Telese Ltd was formed in 2017 by Jay Dixon.  Jay has spent his whole working life manufacturing Surgical and Orthopaedic Instruments.  It’s been his family’s trade for 4 generations.  After the closure of his family’s company – Dixons Surgical Instruments Ltd – Jay decided to form Telese to focus on providing a contract manufacturing service to Surgical and Orthopaedic companies.  The aim was to provide a standard range of generic Surgical Instruments along with a bespoke contract manufacturing service as required.

In mid 2018, Jay was joined by his former colleague at Dixons Surgical – Nigel Cottis.  Nigel has also spent his whole working life manufacturing Surgical and Orthopaedic Instruments.  The pair had worked together for over 25 years, and had formed the core of the Managment Team at Dixons Surgical for the last 10 years.  Nigel had been the Manufacturing Manager at Dixons Surgical, and joined Jay to look after the production of instruments at Telese.

Our Aims

We aim to provide a contract manufacturing service to Surgical and Orthopaedic companies, offering both a standard range of generic traditional Surgical Instruments and bespoke Instruments to customers designs.  We aim to supply instruments of the highest quality by utilising a combination of the latest manufacturing technologies along with traditional craftsmanship.

We aim to carry out as many processes as possible in house, but team up with trusted sub-contactors for specialist processes when required.  We are open to enquiries for any aspects of our products or services that may be of interest to anyone else.  We are happy to utilise our capacity to carry out sub-contract work on either free issued materials or from our own stock.  All work and materials are traceable back to manufacturing records which are archived for future reference.
